Soju shots: what one bottle pours
None of our sources gives a soju glass size, so the honest answer is in pours of a known size. A 360 ml bottle fills 8.1 pours of 1.5 fl oz or 14.4 pours of 25 ml, at any strength.
Each 1.5 fl oz pour of 16.5% soju is 0.4 US standard drinks, less than half of one.
Soju against a shot of vodka
Compare by alcohol, not by volume. A 1.5 fl oz shot of 40% vodka is one US standard drink, while the same pour of 16.5% soju is 0.4. A whole 360 ml bottle of 16.5% soju holds as much alcohol as 3.3 of those vodka shots.
Units in a bottle of soju in the UK
With the NHS formula (strength × ml ÷ 1,000), a 360 ml bottle at 16.5% is 5.9 UK units, and at 13% it is 4.7. Two bottles at 16.5% come to 11.9 units; the NHS advises adults not to drink more than 14 units a week on a regular basis.
